The Challenge
The Farm Boss is STIHL's number one selling chainsaw. It has an identity that customers already understand — the saw for people with real property and real work to do.
The job was to put that identity on screen: the rugged lifestyle the product belongs to, not a demonstration of the product itself.
The constraint was the schedule. One day.
The Work
Flagship created the concept, directed, shot, and edited the piece.
The entire thing was filmed in a single day across two locations out West. That only works when the concept is built around the schedule from the beginning — locations close enough to move between, light planned against the day, and a shot list with no fat in it.
Turnkey, from idea to delivery, with the same crew throughout.
The Result
A :30 spot that puts STIHL's best-selling saw in the world it was built for.
The kind of production that looks like it took a week and took a day. That gap is what pre-production is for.
