The Strategy Room
The thinking before the shoot. What the work has to move, who it has to reach, and the one idea worth building a year of content on.

Why this exists
Most production companies will shoot whatever they are handed. That is the problem. A brief written in a hurry becomes a shot list, the shot list becomes a beautiful film, and six months later nobody can say what it was for.
The Strategy Room is where we refuse to do that. Before a treatment is written we sit down with the people who own the outcome and work out what the content actually has to do: the number it moves, the audience it has to reach, the channels it has to live in, and the single idea strong enough to carry all of it.
Sometimes it becomes a Flagship Campaign. Sometimes it becomes a much smaller thing than you were about to spend on. Either way you walk out knowing exactly what to make and why.
What’s included
Every part of it, in order
5 stages
- 01
Discovery
We start by listening. Founders, marketing, sales, the customer. The idea is usually already in the building; it has just never been written down.
- 02
Outcome and audience
The number the work has to move and the people who have to move it. Decided first, because every choice after it depends on it.
- 03
Creative territories
Three directions the campaign could go, argued on paper, so you choose between real options rather than approve the only one.
- 04
Campaign architecture
What gets made, in what order, for which channel, and how the pieces feed each other across the year.
- 05
Production plan
Shoot days, crew shape, locations and the deliverable matrix, scoped so the budget is a decision rather than a surprise.
