The Challenge
Most destination marketing is aimed outward, at the people you want to visit. This one points the other way.
"Tourism Works" makes the case to the community itself: that visitors aren't just seasonal congestion, they're an industry — jobs, wages, small businesses, tax base. That argument matters in a beach city where residents live with the busy season's costs and don't always see the returns attributed to it.
Selling a place to its own residents is harder than selling it to strangers. They already know it, and they know what's true.
The Work
Flagship worked with Vigilant Creative on a :60 built around the working side of tourism rather than the vacation side — the people whose livelihoods run on it.
The Result
A piece that reframes tourism as local economy rather than local inconvenience.
